Job Summary
The Human Resources Manager will oversee all aspects of Human Resources practices and processes for the organization. This role is responsible for supporting current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital, ensuring full compliance with all local labour laws and government regulations.
Experience: All candidates must have experience in UAE, and Events & Exhibition Industry.
Qualification: Previous work experience in HR department and Events & Exhibition Industry.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
1. Compliance and Local Labour Legislation
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance across all human resource management functions, including contracts, working hours, leave entitlements, end-of-service benefits, and occupational health and safety.
- Manage the process of issuing and renewing employment documentation and work authorizations through relevant governmental systems.
- Oversee the mandated payroll and compensation mechanism (e.g., WPS equivalent) to ensure timely and compliant salary payments.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for labour authority inquiries, inspections, and requirements.
2. Recruitment, Localisation, and Workforce Planning
- Develop and implement strategies to attract, select, and retain qualified talent in line with business objectives.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle (sourcing, interviewing, offer letters, onboarding).
- Design and execute the company’s workforce nationalisation strategy (e.g., Emiratisation equivalent) to meet government targets and contribute to local workforce development (where applicable).
- Conduct organizational workforce planning and manage job analysis/description updates.
3. Employee Relations and Performance Management
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Develop and manage the performance appraisal system (PMS) to drive high performance and align with employee development.
- Handle disciplinary and termination procedures in strict adherence to local Labour Law.
- Organize and monitor necessary training and development programs for staff at all levels.
4. HR Strategy and Operations
- Develop, implement, and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures.
- Maintain the pay plan, compensation, and benefits program, ensuring internal equity and market competitiveness in the local region.
- Oversee the HR budget, track and report on HR metrics to management, and provide decision support.
- Manage the HR Information System (HRIS) and employee records.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven working experience (typically 3+ years) as an HR Manager or other HR Executive.
- All candidates must have experience in UAE, and Events & Exhibition Industry.
- In-depth, practical knowledge of local Federal Labour Law and its Executive Regulations.
- Familiarity with local governmental HR systems and employment authorization processes.
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
- Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics (HR Analytics).
- BS/MS degree in Human Resources or a related field (or equivalent professional certification like SHRM/CIPD).
