Manager oversees an organization's human resources department, managing the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, training, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws. They develop company policies, manage employee relations, and align HR strategies with business goals to foster a productive workplace.
Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Staffing: Managing the hiring process, from posting jobs to interviewing and onboarding, according to strategic planning.Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution: Serving as a liaison between management and employees, resolving disputes, and maintaining a positive company culture.Policy Development & Compliance: Developing and implementing HR policies and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws.Performance Management & Training: Supporting performance review processes, providing coaching, and coordinating staff development programs.Compensation & Benefits Administration: Managing salary structures, payroll, and employee benefits programs.HR Strategy: Collaborating with senior leadership to define, monitor, and execute workforce planning. Required Skills and QualificationsExperience: Proven experience as an HR Manager, HR Generalist, or similar role.Knowledge: Deep understanding of labor laws (e.g., FMLA, FLSA), HR best practices, and HRIS systems.Skills: Exceptional communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; HR certifications (SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) are often preferred. Common DutiesConducting performance appraisals and disciplinary actions.Managing employee records and ensuring data confidentiality.Developing and updating employee handbooks.Performing exit interviews.
