HR Office Assistant - Temporary Role

SUMMARY

Supports a people-first culture by providing responsive service and clear communication, recognizing that the success of the company is built on strong relationships with both customers and team members

Greet coworkers, vendors, customers, job applicants and other visitors. Operate company switchboard to route incoming calls and assist callers. Provide assistance and support to employees as necessary. Administratively support the Human Resources and Safety Departments. This position will have regular access to sensitive information and must therefore be able to demonstrate professional discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Answer main phone

Maintain Petty Cash.

Direct employees to appropriate HR staff for assistance with questions, forms, information, etc.

Open and distribute incoming mail to department personnel. Route outgoing mail.

Scan invoices to Accounts Payable for approval.

Scan RMA copies to appropriate personnel.

Create onboarding folders

Update and maintain postings on the Portal dashboard and bulletin boards

Maintain pre-employment packets and new hire packets.

Handle inventory and supplies of office supplies; reordering and fulfilling equipment and supplies.

Prepare reports and perform administrative and clerical duties for the Manager of Human Resources.

Any other duties as required and assigned by the Manager of Human Resources; to assist with the daily support of the Human Resources Department. Letters, labels, violations, etc.
