Professionally structured, Job Description for an HR Officer,

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Officer to support the full employee lifecycle and ensure HR operations comply with UAE Labour Law and company policies. The HR Officer will play a key role in recruitment support, onboarding, employee relations, payroll coordination, and HR administration, while contributing to a positive and compliant workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Support end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, CV screening, interview coordination, and offer documentation
  • Prepare employment contracts in line with UAE Labour Law and company policies
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and induction programs
  • Manage probation confirmations and employment documentation

2. HR Administration & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records (digital and physical files)
  • Ensure compliance with UAE Labour Law, MOHRE regulations, and internal HR policies
  • Handle employee correspondence, letters, certificates, and HR documentation
  • Support audits and inspections when required

3. Payroll & Benefits Support

  • Coordinate monthly payroll inputs including attendance, leave, overtime, and deductions
  • Assist with benefits administration (medical insurance, leave entitlements, EOSB)
  • Ensure accurate calculation and processing of End of Service Benefits (EOSB)
  • Liaise with finance and external payroll providers

4. Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee HR-related queries
  • Support grievance handling and disciplinary processes in line with company policy
  • Assist in implementing employee engagement initiatives and internal communications
  • Support performance management processes and appraisal cycles

5. Leave & Attendance Management

  • Manage leave applications and balances (annual, sick, maternity, paternity, unpaid)
  • Monitor attendance and ensure accurate reporting
  • Ensure leave policies comply with UAE Labour Law

6. Visa & PRO Coordination

  • Coordinate with PROs or government portals for visa processing, renewals, cancellations, and labour cards
  • Track visa expiries and ensure timely renewals
  • Maintain employee immigration records

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of UAE Labour Law and HR best practices
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • High attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); HRMS experience preferred

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 2–4 years of HR experience in the UAE
  • Prior experience handling MOHRE processes, payroll coordination, and HR administration
  • Experience in startups or fast-growing organizations is an advantage

Preferred Profile

  • CIPD or SHRM certification (or in progress)
  • Experience working with multicultural teams
  • Knowledge of HRMS and payroll systems used in the UAE
