Senior Accountant – Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) | Fast Food Restaurant Chain

Position Overview

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing end-to-end accounting, financial control, compliance, MIS reporting, forecasting, inventory & trading accounting for Crunchys Dubai, covering company-owned outlets and franchise operations.
The role requires hands-on expertise in Tally, Zoho, UAE VAT regulations, banking, and integration of POS / restaurant management applications with finance systems.

Educational Qualifications

  • B.Com / M.Com (Mandatory)
  • CA Inter / CMA Inter – Preferred

Experience Requirements

  • 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Prior experience in QSR / Hospitality / Retail / Franchise business preferred
  • Exposure to multi-location / multi-outlet accounting is a strong advantage
  • UAE accounting & VAT exposure preferred

System & Software Expertise

  • Tally ERP / Tally Prime – end-to-end accounting, VAT, reconciliations & reporting
  • Zoho (Books / Expense / Payroll coordination) – invoicing, expense tracking, MIS
  • Restaurant / POS / All-in-One QSR Applications – sales, inventory, recipe costing, outlet reports
  • MS Excel – advanced MIS, reconciliations, dashboards & analysis
  • Ability to integrate data between POS, Tally & Zoho systems

Core Accounting Responsibilities

  • Maintain complete books of accounts including sales, purchases, expenses, journals & ledgers
  • Monthly, quarterly & annual finalisation of accounts
  • Outlet-wise and franchise-wise accounting & reconciliation
  • Monitor receivables, payables, advances & outstanding follow-ups
  • Ensure strict adherence to company accounting policies, SOPs & internal controls
  • Accurate accounting of inventory, wastage, discounts, promotions & offers

1. MIS & Financial Reporting

Prepare and present monthly financial MIS reports to management, including:

  • Profit & Loss Statements
  • Outlet-wise & franchise-wise performance reports
  • Food cost, manpower cost & overhead analysis
  • Inventory movement & variance reports
  • Cash flow statements & working capital analysis
  • Budget vs actual comparisons & variance analysis
  • Financial forecasts & trend analysis

Provide actionable insights for cost control, profitability improvement & decision-making.

2. Statutory & Tax Compliance (UAE-Aligned)

  • UAE VAT compliance – return filing, reconciliation & documentation
  • VAT treatment for dine-in, takeaway, delivery & aggregator sales
  • Coordination for tax audits, assessments & clarifications
  • Ensure compliance with withholding, statutory deductions & regulatory filings
  • Maintain statutory registers & compliance records
  • Coordinate with consultants for audit & regulatory matters

3. Payroll & Expense Coordination

  • Coordinate payroll processing with HR
  • Verify attendance, overtime, incentives, deductions & benefits
  • Accounting of salaries, staff reimbursements & benefits
  • Support final settlements & staff-related expense controls
  • Ensure payroll costs are accurately mapped outlet-wise

4. Banking & Treasury Responsibilities

  • Complete handling of banking operations including:
  • Current accounts, CC/OD facilities & term loans
  • Preparation of Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS)
  • Processing payments via cheque, NEFT, RTGS, IMPS & UPI
  • Coordination for bank account opening, KYC & documentation
  • Monitoring EMIs, interest, bank charges & fund utilization
  • Handling POS, card & UPI settlements and merchant reconciliations
  • Liaison with banks for audits, confirmations & compliance
  • Support cash flow planning & fund management

5. Franchise & Outlet Accounting

  • Monitor franchise fees, royalties & other receivables
  • Reconcile franchise sales data and royalty calculations
  • Coordinate with franchise partners for financial submissions
  • Support franchise audits, compliance & reporting requirements
  • Ensure consistency in financial reporting across outlets

6. Inventory, Trading & Cost Control

  • Inventory accounting including raw materials, packaging & consumables
  • Stock reconciliation between POS, physical stock & accounts
  • Monitor wastage, pilferage & variance reports
  • Recipe costing & margin analysis
  • Support procurement cost controls & vendor reconciliation

7. Restaurant Application & System Integration

  • Ensure seamless integration of restaurant POS / all-in-one QSR application with accounting systems
  • Validate daily sales, discounts, offers & settlement reports
  • Ensure accurate mapping of:
  • Dine-in
  • Takeaway
  • Delivery aggregators
  • Online orders
  • Support automation of reports & controls across outlets

8. Audit & Documentation

  • Support internal, statutory & franchise audits
  • Maintain organized accounting records & documentation
  • Ensure confidentiality, accuracy & data integrity
  • Implement audit observations & process improvements

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
