Role Overview

The Senior HR Operations & Administration Manager will play a critical, hands-on role in building and managing scalable HR operations for a fast-growing start-up in the healthcare & IT sector. This role requires deep expertise in Indian labour laws, strong recruitment experience, and the ability to support cross-border HR operations, including coordination with UAE-based entities.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle

  • Own end-to-end HR operations including onboarding, confirmation, performance management, and exits in a start-up environment.
  • Establish, implement, and continuously improve HR policies, SOPs, and frameworks suited for healthcare & IT businesses.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and HRIS data.
  • Manage employee relations, grievances, disciplinary actions, and compliance matters with a solution-oriented approach.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for healthcare and IT roles across India, including technical, clinical, and corporate positions.
  • Partner closely with founders and functional heads on workforce planning and rapid scaling needs.
  • Manage sourcing through job portals, referrals, campus hiring, and recruitment partners.
  • Drive offer management, negotiations, and seamless onboarding.

Payroll, Statutory Compliance & Labour Laws

  • Ensure full compliance with Indian labour laws, including:
  • Shops & Establishments Act
  • EPF, ESI, Professional Tax
  • Gratuity Act, Labour Welfare Fund
  • Contract labour and vendor compliance (if applicable)
  • Coordinate payroll processing and audits with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Support statutory inspections, filings, and reporting.

Administration & Office Management

  • Oversee office administration, facilities, vendor management, and employee logistics.
  • Manage employee assets, access controls, and travel or accommodation arrangements as required.
  • Support setup and expansion of new offices or locations.

UAE HR Coordination (Value Add)

  • Support HR coordination for UAE-based operations, including documentation and compliance alignment.
  • Apply working knowledge of UAE labour law and HR operations while supporting cross-border HR initiatives.
  • Assist leadership with regional HR reporting and processes.

Culture, Performance & Leadership Support

  • Partner with leadership to build a strong performance-driven and people-first culture.
  • Support performance management, employee engagement initiatives, and HR analytics.
  • Act as a trusted HR advisor in a high-growth, fast-paced start-up environment.

Key Requirements

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in HR Operations, Recruitment, and Administration.
  • Prior experience working in a start-up and/or healthcare & IT sector is strongly preferred.
  • Extensive hands-on knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.
  • Working knowledge of UAE-based HR operations and labour law compliance is a strong advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
