HR Operations Manager

Summary

The HR Operations Manager provides strategic oversight, leadership, and accountability for the HR team across all company locations. This role is responsible for supervising HR Administrators, HR Assistants, and Talent Acquisition Specialists, ensuring consistency, compliance, and excellence in HR service delivery. The HR Operations Manager will hold direct reports accountable for their responsibilities, establish clear expectations, and foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement within the HR department.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Oversight: Lead and manage the HR Administrators, HR Assistants, and Talent Acquisition Specialists across all locations. Set performance standards and hold team members accountable for timely, accurate, and high-quality work. Foster collaboration, communication, and consistency in HR practices across the organization.
HR Administration Oversight: Oversee employee records management, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality. Supervise the processing of staffing changes (new hires, terminations, promotions, leave of absence, etc.). Ensure timely completion of compliance reporting and audits (I-9, EEO-1, WC, benefits audits, etc.). Approve HR forms, documentation, and correspondence prior to release. Monitor onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure compliance with organizational and state requirements.
HR Assistant Support & Accountability: Direct HR Assistants in administrative support tasks, onboarding coordination, payroll assistance, and employee relations matters. Oversee the accuracy of employee files, credentialing, and recordkeeping. Ensure HR Assistants provide excellent customer service to internal staff, responding promptly and professionally to HR inquiries.
Talent Acquisition Oversight: Supervise Talent Acquisition Specialists, ensuring job postings, sourcing, and candidate pipelines remain up to date and effective. Review recruitment strategies for efficiency, equity, and alignment with workforce needs. Ensure a strong candidate experience and professional communication throughout the recruitment cycle.
Compliance & Policy: Partner with the EHRO to create, update, and implement HR policies and procedures that align with company values, compliance requirements, and best practices. Ensure consistent execution of HR policies across all locations and hold team members accountable for compliance. Monitor the effectiveness of policies and recommend improvements to the EHRO. Train HR staff and managers on new or updated policies to ensure clarity and adherence. Act as a policy resource for HR team members and serve as the first point of escalation for policy-related questions or disputes.
Strategic & Cross-Functional Work: Collaborate with executives and department leaders to anticipate HR needs and staffing trends. Provide HR metrics and reporting to leadership on recruiting, retention, employee relations, and compliance. Support organizational change initiatives by ensuring HR alignment and communication.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
5+ years of progressive HR experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of HR compliance, recruitment, onboarding, benefits, and employee relations.
Exceptional leadership and accountability skills, with demonstrated success managing teams across multiple locations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with HRIS/ATS systems (e.g., Paycom), Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Leadership presence with ability to inspire, coach, and hold others accountable.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Professional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust at all levels.
Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on HR operations. High attention to detail, initiative, and reliability.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
