HR Process & System Superuser

ERM is seeking a HR Process & System Superuser to join our People Services Team that supports the EMEA business as a primary focus. As a global sustainability consulting company, ERM has clear growth direction and has been investing heavily in building future skills in the areas such as low carbon economy transition, strategic environmental, social and governance (ESG) and product stewardship amongst other service offerings. The EMEA HR team plays a key role in enabling our business, and the TBC will join us on our transformation journey to help enhance our capabilities on process, data and systems.

ERM has been a Workday powered organization since 2013, with broad employee and People Team supporting services being run through the platform.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with Workday HCM (processes, reporting, dashboards, absence, performance & talent) and Workday Recruitment. You will be a Workday expert who understands how the system works with a desire to keep on learning and be an advocate of Workday within ERM. You will enjoy collaborating with remotely based HR colleagues across the whole EMEA region

Role responsibilities

  • Act as the subject matter expert on Workday HCM and Recruitment modules; be the go-to person on any Workday related queries within the EMEA HR team, providing training as needed
  • Manage regional testing and champion the changes being requested for EMEA. Play the role of a central focal point to lead, manage and track testing, driving toward a positive outcome through hands on interaction with the system, other testers and the Workday development team
  • Own the accuracy of all data entered into HR systems by conducting regular system audits, overseeing admin‑team data checks, and ensuring issues are resolved promptly; implement configuration changes or targeted training to prevent reoccurrence
  • Champion Workday as the system of truth for employee data at ERM
  • Help create a data self-service approach for the EMEA HR teams; write basic and advanced Workday reports where needed
  • Work closely with the global Workday Development team to resolve complex Workday issues
  • Help to refine regional requests prior to and during engagement with the HRIS teams ensuring that 'the need' is clear before a change request is made
  • Analyse and monitor our use of the system, ensure our configuration is fit for purpose and identify future improvement opportunities
  • Contribute to the development & enhancement of streamlined, single HR processes across EMEA
  • Manage regional changes & restructures, including mass upload via EIB
  • Support integration of acquired employees into ERM HR processes & Workday

Skills & Experience
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Understanding of Workday business processes including administrative steps, general navigation, setup requirements and how Workday operates ‘front end’
  • Experience working across multiple countries in EMEA
  • Experience of standard operational challenges such as data accuracy, user adoption and adherence to processes
  • Experience creating & running reports in Workday
  • Knowledge of GDPR & data management
  • Understanding of Workday security access requirements
  • Understanding of HR Transformation & change management
