JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The HR Communication Intern will work on creative and technical projects related to recruitment, internal and external communication plans, email strategies, and website content development.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Partner with various HR departments to assist with projects Manage communication plans for multiple career navigation initiatives and programs
Assist with the summer internship program including event planning and hosting
Write email campaigns and design flyers/social media for career navigation events
Design and distribute educational partnership newsletters including information gathering, event scheduling, and design steps
Edit written materials (flyers, email campaigns, presentations, etc.) and provide proof-reading and feedback
Assist with data management and data collection
Create forms and track survey collections and feedback
Attend career fairs or recruitment events to represent St. Luke’s
Utilize creative skills in Canva to design flyers, newsletters and communications
Maintain confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as well as the proper release of information.
Comply with Network and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient and environmental safety and follows appropriate reporting requirements.
Demonstrate/model the Network’s Service Excellence Standards of Performance in interactions with all customers
Demonstrate Performance Improvement in the following areas as appropriate: Clinical Care/Outcomes, Customer/Service Improvement, Operational System/Process, and Safety.
Demonstrate financial responsibility and accountability through the effective and efficient use of resources in daily procedures, processes and practices.
Comply with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
May require sitting/standing for up to 4hrs/day, walking up to 2 hrs/day, 20 minutes at a time. Requires frequent fingering, handling, firm grasping, twisting and turning. In a typical workday when performing essential functions, must be able to: stoop/bend; reach above shoulder level; squat; crouch; kneel; climb; lift heavy supplies and equipment; touch to perceive size, shape temperature and texture; hear high frequencies and day to day conversations, perceive objects near and far; and distinguish chromatic colors. In addition, should have good peripheral vision and depth perception.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Open to students enrolled in a two or four year college or university or recent graduates.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Creative skills needed with preference for Canva or similar software/platform experience. Strong writing and editing skills. Familiarity with Microsoft office. Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally.
WORK SCHEDULE: Day shift, Monday – Friday. Hybrid schedule available with in person and virtual work hours. 16-30 hours a week, flexible scheduling around academic classes. Flexible start and end date with the internship anticipated to end in Aug 2026. This position is a short term, part-time internship position.
