This position is based in Bengaluru and will require some on-site work.

Purpose and Scope:

The Quality Assurance Specialists responsible for monitoring and improving the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of Astellas HR Shared Services operations. This position ensures accuracy and compliance of HR transactions while analyzing data, identifying trends, and recommending process improvements. The QA Specialist acts as a key liaison between HR Shared Services, HR Centres of Excellence (COEs), IT, and other stakeholders to drive continuous improvement, data integrity, and operational excellence.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Quality Framework & Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR quality assurance frameworks and control procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR processes and systems to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Monitor adherence to employment law and data privacy standards across all HR services.

Performance Monitoring

  • Establish and track KPIs for HR Service delivery quality.
  • Track and report quality errors, trends, and root causes to leadership with recommendations for corrective action
  • Maintain accurate records of quality control activities and outcomes.Provide feedback and coaching to People Services Operations team members based on QA results.
  • Delivery of training to Operational Teams

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify process gaps and propose enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Collaborate with Continuous Improvement Team and across HR to implement best practices.
  • Support change management initiatives to embed quality standards in HR processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process documentation updates.
  • Support implementation of new HR processes, tools, or technology (e.g., HRIS modules, workflow tools, ServiceNow improvements).

Risk Management

  • Proactively identify compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Act as a point of escalation for quality-related issues within HR Services.

Qualifications Required:

  • Strong knowledge of HR processes and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in quality assurance or audit within HR or shared services environment.
  • Familiarity with HR systems (e.g., HRIS, payroll platforms) and reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Preferred: Certification in Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement methodology.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • • Ability to work collaboratively in a global, matrixed HR environment.

Preferred Qualifications:


• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in relevant field

• Understanding of agile/scrum methodology and how QA functions within it

• Fluency in more than one language
