POSITION PURPOSE

Encompass Health Corporation's HR Intern will get to serve as a part of a dynamic team of Human Resources experts within our corporate office. You will be exposed to a wide variety of disciplines within Human Resources and gain experience through cross-functional projects and administrative support to the broader HR team. Functional areas of support, include but are not limited to: DEI, organizational development, total rewards, employee relations, and HR operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

• Participate in various HR projects and initiatives.
• Conduct research and provide recommendations on HR best practices.
• Assist in pre-boarding activities for new employees.
• Complete all task and assignments accurately and timely.
• Proactively seeks to learn about the company and the department.
• Participates in all intern specific activities (if applicable)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be actively enrolled in a college or university (Junior/Senior level students are preferred)
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• A proactive approach to problem solving with a willingness to learn.
• Class experience in prospective field is preferred.
• Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be able to work at the Encompass Health Corporate Office building in Birmingham, AL from Monday June 1, 2026 to Friday July 31, 2026
