HR & Recruiting Specialist (e-commerce /Warehouse Operations)

Location: Houston, TX (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30/5:00 PM
Start Date: Targeting Monday, December 16

Scentiment, a rapidly growing fragrance and consumer goods company, is seeking an HR & Recruiting Specialist to support our Houston warehouse operations. This fully onsite role is responsible for full-cycle HR support, high-volume warehouse recruiting, and managing relationships with temporary staffing agencies.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands warehouse workforce needs, and can maintain a strong HR foundation while helping us scale.

Key Responsibilities

Recruiting & Hiring

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for warehouse associates, team leads, and operations staff.
  • Screen, interview, and coordinate onsite interviews for high-volume hiring needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with temporary staffing agencies and ensure fill-rate expectations are met.
  • Track applicant flow and maintain accurate hiring metrics.
  • Support onboarding including new hire paperwork, I-9 verification, background checks, and first-day setup.

Human Resources Support

  • Serve as the onsite HR point of contact for employees and supervisors.
  • Support employee relations, attendance management, corrective actions, and HR policy adherence.
  • Maintain personnel files, documentation, and ensure HR compliance.
  • Assist with payroll support, timekeeping issues, and HR data entry.
  • Support HR projects, training initiatives, and process improvement efforts.

Workplace Culture & Operations

  • Promote a professional, safe, and positive warehouse environment.
  • Partner with leadership to support staffing forecasts and operational needs.
  • Support engagement initiatives and help build a strong team environment.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 2 years of HR experience (HR Coordinator, HR Specialist, or similar).
  • Minimum 3 years of warehouse recruiting experience (high-volume required).
  • Experience working with temporary staffing agencies.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work onsite Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30/5 PM.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field.
  • HR certification (aPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.).
  • Experience in e-commerce, warehouse, or light manufacturing industries.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
