About the Role:

The HR/Recruitment Manager will lead the strategic planning and execution of talent acquisition and human resource initiatives to support the organization's growth and operational goals. This role is pivotal in developing and implementing recruitment strategies that attract top talent while ensuring a positive candidate experience. The manager will oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, from job posting and sourcing to interviewing and onboarding, ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with department heads to understand workforce needs and develop effective staffing plans. Ultimately, the HR/Recruitment Manager will foster a productive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with the company’s values and business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of HR, recruiting, or scheduling experience (healthcare or human services a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations applicable in Connecticut.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
  • Experience in employee relations and performance management.
  • HR certifications (SHRM-CP, PHR) a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates across various roles.
  • Lead all aspects of hiring and recruiting: job postings, screening, interviewing, and selection
  • Collaborate with department heads to assess hiring needs and create workforce plans that support organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations throughout the recruitment process.
  • Maintain and improve applicant tracking systems and recruitment metrics to optimize hiring efficiency.
  • Lead onboarding processes to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the company culture and operations.
  • Provide guidance and support to hiring managers on recruitment best practices and interview techniques.
  • Stay current with industry trends and labor market conditions to proactively adjust recruitment strategies.
  • Serve as the point of contact for HR questions, benefits, and compliance issues.
  • Oversee staff scheduling to ensure proper coverage for client services.
  • Support employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Assist with HR policy development and updates.

Skills:

The HR/Recruitment Manager will utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills daily to engage with candidates and collaborate with internal stakeholders effectively. Analytical skills are essential for evaluating recruitment metrics and labor market trends to refine hiring strategies. Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and HR software enables efficient management of candidate pipelines and data accuracy. Knowledge of employment laws ensures all recruitment activities comply with legal standards, minimizing organizational risk. Additionally, leadership and organizational skills are critical for managing recruitment teams, coordinating multiple hiring projects simultaneously, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
