The Division of Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Preventive Medicine, within the department of Internal Medicine, is seeking an HS Research Tech I for the HOMES project. This project is being funded by the State of New Mexico in cooperation with the Department of Workforce Solutions. This position will meet with the unhoused in the community to survey individuals and help ascertain the needs and conditions of unhoused populations.
This New Mexico based study engages a partnership network that spans academic institutions, community health services, and government bodies. The study aims to provide actionable data to inform targeted interventions by community and public health groups, clinical organizations, and academic institutions. This position will serve a key role by meeting with community members one on one to collect data.
The Department of Internal Medicine is a large, progressive department with a diverse staff working in dedicated teams to provide quality work in an organized, effective, and efficient manner through innovation, training, and education. Through our collaborative work effort, we support the faculty and enhance the missions of the department, school, Health Sciences Center, and University.

High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of directly related student practicum or equivalent experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
