Position Summary:

The HSE Officer/Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations at the construction site. This role involves developing and implementing safety policies, conducting training, performing inspections, and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees, subcontractors, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with legal requirements and company standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international HSE regulations, including ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 standards.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with preventive measures.
  • Deliver HSE induction and training to employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HSE documentation, records, and reports.
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across the site.
  • Liaise with governmental and regulatory authorities regarding health, safety, and environmental matters.
  • Monitor the use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Support emergency preparedness and response plans, including drills.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
  • NEBOSH IGC / OSHA / IOSH certification (mandatory).
  • Minimum 5–10 years of HSE experience in the construction industry (GCC experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of UAE labor law and local HSE regulations.
  • Experience in risk assessment, accident investigation, and safety audits.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
