Safety Assistant (Construction Industry)

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Assistant to join our construction team in Dubai. The ideal candidate must have 2–4 years of experience working with a Dubai-based construction company and a strong understanding of UAE construction safety standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the HSE/Safety Officer in implementing health, safety, and environmental policies on construction sites.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and UAE regulatory requirements.
• Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all site personnel.
• Maintain safety records, reports, permits, and inspection documentation.
• Support safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.
• Report incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions to the Safety Officer.
• Coordinate with site supervisors to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Assist in emergency response and evacuation procedures when required.

Requirements

• Mandatory: 2–4 years of experience with a Dubai-based construction company.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Knowledge of UAE construction safety regulations and best practices.
• NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent safety certification is preferred.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
