HSE Coordinator / Officer

Job Purpose

The HSE Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and inspecting all work activities within RMG, identifying and reporting unsafe acts or conditions, and ensuring prompt follow-up of corrective actions. The role also involves compiling HSE data, supporting the development of safety procedures, leading safety projects, and coordinating Health & Safety training programs to ensure a culture of safety across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Environment:

• Lead by example and promote safe work practices across all levels.
• Conduct site inspections and identify unsafe acts and conditions.
• Provide expert guidance and support to operations and maintenance teams on HSE matters.
• Carry out risk assessments for hazardous activities and ensure control measures are effectively implemented.
• Lead and monitor emergency response plans, drills, and equipment readiness.
• Audit tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure full compliance with safety standards.
• Oversee HSE compliance during shutdowns and preventive maintenance activities.
• Conduct HSE inductions for new employees and assist with visitor orientations.
• Track “fitness to work” records and support annual exposure reduction initiatives.
• Participate in accident investigations and support HSE campaigns, events, and awareness programs.

Collaboration & Communication

Internal:

• All internal employees and the Country/Corporate HSE team (as required).

External:

• Service providers and relevant government authorities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree with safety certification (NEBOSH IGC / IOSH Level 3 or equivalent).
• 5–8 years of experience in implementing HSE procedures within a manufacturing environment.
