HSE Engineer

Location: Abu Dhabi

Job Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures at site in compliance with UAE laws and client requirements.
• Ensure full compliance with airport safety regulations, project HSE plans, and method statements.
• Conduct risk assessments, HIRA, JSA, and review method statements and lifting plans.
• Carry out site inspections, safety audits, and toolbox talks to ensure safe work practices.
• Monitor high-risk activities including working at height, lifting operations, confined spaces, and electrical works.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare incident reports and corrective action plans.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to enforce HSE standards.
• Maintain HSE documentation, records, permits, and reports.
• Act as a point of contact for client HSE representatives and attend safety meetings.
• Promote a strong safety culture across the project site.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of HSE experience in construction / infrastructure projects.
• NEBOSH IGC mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and airport safety standards.
• Experience working on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects preferred.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to join immediately.
