HSE Engineer - Building Construction

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs
  • Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and international standards
  • Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and job safety analysis (JSA)
  • Monitor workplace activities to ensure adherence to safety practices
  • Carry out regular site inspections and safety audits
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed reports
  • Recommend corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence
  • Conduct safety inductions, training, and awareness programs for employees
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Maintain HSE documentation, reports, and records
  • Coordinate emergency response plans and drills
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and external auditors when required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Professional HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) preferred
  • 3–5 years of experience in HSE roles (industry-specific experience is an advantage)
  • Knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices
  • Strong knowledge of safety management systems
  • Timely reporting and closure of HSE issues
  • Good communication and training abilities
