Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs
- Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and international standards
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and job safety analysis (JSA)
- Monitor workplace activities to ensure adherence to safety practices
- Carry out regular site inspections and safety audits
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed reports
- Recommend corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence
- Conduct safety inductions, training, and awareness programs for employees
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain HSE documentation, reports, and records
- Coordinate emergency response plans and drills
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and external auditors when required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
- Professional HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in HSE roles (industry-specific experience is an advantage)
- Knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices
- Strong knowledge of safety management systems
- Timely reporting and closure of HSE issues
- Good communication and training abilities
