HSE Engineer & HSE Officer

Al Rakha General Contracting LLC is a leading civil construction company specializing in high-quality villa and building projects. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and sustainability across all our sites.

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced HSE Engineer/Officer to oversee and manage our Health, Safety, and Environment systems and ensure compliance with all local and international regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s HSE policies, procedures, and management systems.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure that safe work practices are followed across all construction activities.
• Monitor and inspect site activities to identify unsafe conditions, practices, and potential hazards.
• Lead incident investigations, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
• Organize and conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE training sessions for staff and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with local legislation, client HSE requirements, and company standards.
• Maintain accurate HSE documentation, records, and reports.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to promote a strong safety culture.
• Participate in internal and external HSE audits.
• Review and approve method statements and risk assessments before site execution.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in HSE performance across all projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent HSE certification is mandatory (LEVEL 6)
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in HSE roles within civil construction (villas, buildings projects).
• In-depth knowledge of construction safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse site teams and subcontractors.
• Proficient in preparing HSE reports and documentation
