Job Summary:

The Health & Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy working environment within the offset printing facility. The role involves implementing safety policies, monitoring compliance, minimizing workplace hazards, and promoting a culture of safety among employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement health & safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with local safety laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of printing machines, chemicals, electrical systems, and warehouse areas.
  • Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor safe handling and storage of inks, solvents, chemicals, and paper materials.
  • Conduct fire safety drills and emergency response training.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare reports.
  • Maintain records of safety training, incidents, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to ensure machine safety standards.
  • Promote employee awareness regarding occupational health and environmental safety.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Sciences, or related field.
  • Relevant certification in Health & Safety (NEBOSH / IOSH preferred).
  • 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing or printing industry.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety standards and chemical handling procedures.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety regulations.
  • Good observation and risk assessment skills.
  • Excellent reporting and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication and training abilities.
  • Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs60,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
