Overview
The HSE Manager leads health, safety, and environmental management for road and infrastructure projects. The role ensures compliance with HSE policies, legal regulations, and international standards to achieve a zero incident environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the project HSE Management System.
- Lead safety teams, inspectors, and officers across all project zones.
- Conduct HSE audits, inspections, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations.
- Approve risk assessments, method statements, and emergency response plans.
- Ensure compliance with local safety regulations, OSHA standards, ISO 45001, and environmental guidelines.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Conduct HSE orientation, training programs and competency evaluations.
- Manage reporting of KPIs, safety statistics and monthly HSE dashboards.
- Coordinate with authorities, consultants, contractors and stakeholders for safety compliance.
- Promote a strong safety culture across the entire workforce.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's'in Engineering, Safety, or Environmental Sciences.
- 10-15 years HSE experience in infrastructure projects, with at least 5 years managerial.
- NEBOSH Diploma/IGC, OSHA, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certifications preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and risk management skills.
- Experience with large scale road and highway projects.
