HSE Officer

We Modular Design Engineering Consultants are seeking for a dedicated and proactive HSE Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and promoting a safe work culture across all company operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with UAE HSE laws, standards, and company policies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local regulations (e.g., UAE Labour Law, Dubai Municipality, ADNOC EHS standards).
• Obtain and maintain all required HSE permits and licenses.

2. Safety Management

• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards.
• Develop and implement preventive measures to minimize risks.
• Enforce safety rules and safe work practices across all operations.

3. Incident & Accident Management

• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses according to UAE regulations.
• Prepare reports, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans.
• Maintain a centralized incident database for management review.

4. Risk Assessment & Control

• Perform Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Risk Assessments for all operations.
• Recommend control measures and monitor their implementation.
• Ensure safe handling and storage of hazardous materials.

5. Training & Awareness

• Conduct HSE orientation for new employees and contractors.
• Organize regular HSE workshops, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns.
• Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

6. Emergency Preparedness

• Develop and implement emergency response plans (fire, evacuation, spills).
• Conduct drills and ensure emergency equipment is operational.
• Coordinate with local authorities for compliance during emergencies.

7. Environmental Management

• Monitor waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with UAE environmental regulations.
• Promote energy efficiency and environmental protection programs.

8. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate HSE records, permits, training logs, and inspection reports.
• Prepare regular HSE performance reports for management and authorities.
• Support audits and inspections by regulatory bodies.

9. Coordination & Communication

• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities on HSE matters.
• Communicate safety updates, alerts, and regulatory changes to all employees.
• Participate in safety committee meetings and contribute to continuous improvement.

10. PPE & Health Monitoring

• Ensure proper use and availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Monitor occupational health programs (medical check-ups, vaccinations, fitness for work).
• Conduct ergonomic assessments and workplace health initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

· Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.

· Minimum 5 years of experience as an HSE Officer (construction experience preferred).

· Knowledge of HSE regulations and international standards.

· Strong communication and reporting skills.

· Valid certifications (NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA) are an added advantage.

Salary:

• Will be discussed during the interview (based on experience, qualifications, and negotiation).

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
