HSE OFFICER

HSE Officer – Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies and procedures in compliance with UAE laws, OSHAD, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for transport, loading/unloading, vehicle maintenance, and yard operations.
• Ensure safe operation of fleet vehicles, workshops, and transport activities, including driver safety compliance.
• Carry out regular site inspections and safety audits; report findings and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts; prepare detailed incident reports and root-cause analysis.
• Conduct HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training for drivers, staff, and subcontractors.
• Ensure proper use and availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforce safety rules.
• Maintain and update HSE documentation, records, permits, MSDS, and safety reports.
• Coordinate with management to promote a strong safety culture and continuous HSE improvement.
• Monitor environmental aspects such as waste management, spill prevention, and pollution control.
• Liaise with government authorities, clients, and auditors during inspections and compliance audits.
• Ensure emergency preparedness, including fire safety, first aid arrangements, and evacuation procedures.
• Stop unsafe work practices and take immediate action to prevent injuries, property damage, or environmental harm.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field
• NEBOSH IGC certification (mandatory)
• 0–2 years of HSE experience, preferably in transport or logistics industry
• Valid UAE driving license (preferred)
• Must be currently based in the UAE
• Good knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and standards
• Strong communication, reporting, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and proactively promote a safe working environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
