HSE Officer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Implement and enforce HSE policies and procedures in warehouse operations
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and company safety standards
• Conduct regular safety inspections of storage areas, loading docks, and operational zones
• Identify workplace hazards such as manual handling risks, vehicle movement, and falling objects
• Perform risk assessments and implement appropriate control measures
• Monitor high-risk activities and ensure safe work practices are followed
• Oversee safe storage, stacking, and handling of goods
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks)
• Implement and monitor traffic management systems for vehicles and pedestrians
• Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions
• Prepare detailed incident reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions
• Maintain accurate records of safety performance
• Conduct safety inductions and regular training for warehouse staff and drivers
• Promote awareness on PPE usage and safe work practices
• Support the development of a proactive safety culture
• Ensure availability and maintenance of fire protection equipment
• Conduct emergency drills (fire evacuation, spill response, etc.)
• Develop and maintain emergency response procedures
• Monitor waste management and housekeeping standards
• Ensure safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials (if applicable)
• Promote environmentally responsible practices

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field
• Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) preferred
• 2–5 years of HSE experience in logistics or warehousing
• Knowledge of local HSE regulations and standards
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
