Job Title: Senior Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer

Location: Abu Dhabi

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Senior HSE Officer to lead our safety initiatives and ensure a culture of "Zero Harm." You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive safety programs that comply with local regulations and international standards. Your primary goal will be to minimize workplace risks and ensure the well-being of all personnel on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspections & Audits: Conduct daily site walk-throughs and formal monthly audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with ISO 45001 and 14001 standards.
• Risk Management: Lead the development of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA) for all high-risk activities.
• Training: Organize and deliver Toolbox Talks (TBT), safety inductions for new hires, and specialized training (e.g., First Aid, Fire Safety, Work at Height).
• Incident Investigation: Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for any near-misses or accidents and implement corrective actions.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate HSE statistics and prepare weekly/monthly performance reports for the Management Team.
• Permit to Work (PTW): Oversee the PTW system to ensure all hazardous tasks are authorized and controlled.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or Environmental Science.
• Certifications: * NEBOSH IGC (Level 3) is mandatory.
• ISO 45001 Internal/Lead Auditor certification is highly preferred.
• Valid First Aid and Fire Marshal certificates.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of field experience, preferably in the [Construction / Oil & Gas / Manufacturing] sector.

Technical & Soft Skills

• Deep understanding of [Local Labor Law/OSHA] regulations.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence safety behavior at all levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HSE Management Software.
