HSE Officer (Health, Safety & Environment)Job Summary

The HSE Officer is responsible for ensuring that all health, safety, and environmental policies are effectively implemented and maintained across the organization. The role focuses on minimizing risks, ensuring legal compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture at the workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments
• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with UAE health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions
• Organize and deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and compliance reports
• Monitor use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and ensure proper safety practices
• Coordinate with management and site teams to improve workplace safety standards
• Ensure emergency preparedness, including fire drills and evacuation procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or related field
• NEBOSH / IOSH certification (mandatory)
• Minimum 2–3 years UAE experience in construction or related industry
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE laws and regulations
• Experience in construction or power plant projects is an advantage
• Ability to prepare HSE reports and documentation
