A Construction Safety Officer develops, enforces, and monitors safety policies (OSHA/local regulations) to prevent accidents, conducting daily site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments. Key duties include delivering safety training, managing PPE compliance, investigating incidents, and maintaining site records. They act as the primary liaison for safety compliance.

  • Site Inspections & Audits: Conduct daily walkthroughs to identify hazards, enforce PPE compliance, and ensure safe handling of tools and equipment.
  • Risk Management: Perform Job Safety Analyses (JSA), hazard assessments, and implement preventive measures to reduce on-site risks.
  • Training & Education: Develop/deliver safety training, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure worker compliance with OSHA/HSE regulations.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into accidents and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and implementing corrective actions.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Maintain rigorous records of inspections, permits, and training; ensure compliance with legal and client-specific standards.
  • Emergency Response: Develop emergency protocols and conduct fire drills or evacuation training.

Required Skills for Resume:

  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of OSHA standards, ISO 45001, and local construction safety laws.
  • Communication: Ability to conduct effective toolbox talks and communicate safety policies to all personnel.
  • Technical: Risk assessment techniques, hazard identification, and safety equipment inspection.
  • Authority: Strong leadership to enforce safety protocols and halt unsafe work.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per hour
