HSE Officer

Key Responsibilities1. HSE Compliance & Implementation

  • Implement and enforce company HSE policies, procedures, and project-specific HSE plans.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and international HSE standards.
  • Conduct site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments for all project activities.

2. Monitoring & Reporting

  • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports, checklists, and documentation.
  • Monitor work permits (PTW), toolbox talks, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
  • Report unsafe acts/conditions and ensure timely corrective actions.

3. Incident & Emergency Management

  • Lead incident/accident investigations and prepare root-cause analysis reports.
  • Support emergency response planning, drills, and preparedness activities.
  • Maintain incident logs, near-miss records, and corrective action tracking.

4. Training & Awareness

  • Conduct HSE inductions for new employees and subcontractors.
  • Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness sessions.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all project teams.

5. EPC & Oil & Gas Project Responsibilities

  • Monitor high-risk activities such as lifting operations, hot works, confined space entry, excavation, and working at heights.
  • Ensure contractor compliance with project HSE requirements.
  • Participate in HAZOP, HIRA, and risk review meetings as required.
  • Support commissioning and shutdown activities with safety oversight.

6. Documentation & Audits

  • Maintain updated HSE documentation, permits, registers, and certifications.
  • Assist in internal and external HSE audits.
  • Ensure proper implementation of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other relevant standards.

Qualifications & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) – Mandatory.
  • Additional certifications preferred:
  • IOSH Managing Safely

Experience

  • 3–7 years of HSE experience in EPC, Oil & Gas, Construction, or Industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of PTW systems, risk assessments, and safety procedures.
  • Experience working with contractors and multi‑disciplinary project teams.
  • OSHA 30 Hours
  • First Aid / Fire Warden
  • H2S Awareness & BA Training
  • ISO 45001 / 14001 Internal Auditor
  • Valid UAE driving license (preferred).

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
