Educate and enforce implementation of EHS standards. This will include, but not limited to, environmental health and safety policies, standard operating procedures, training session notifications, and general environmental health and safety information.

· Carry out EHS audits and inspections, report issues and shortfalls identified during site inspections or surveillance visits to the person responsible for the area and management for further action. Assist as necessary to ensure that the issue, deficiency or hazard is resolved.

· Identify EHS training needs for employees at different levels within the organisation and prepare and implement EHS training plan in consultation with management.

· Ensure that inspections of the fire extinguishers, fire hose cabinets, eye wash stations, spill kits and first aid kits are carried out and emergency response drills are arranged as per regulatory requirements.

· Maintain the departmental EHS bulletin board.

· Liaise with consultants, regulatory authorities and accompany staff, external regulatory agencies during workplace inspections as required.

· Assist supervisors in the completion of incident/ accident reports and accident/incident investigation to ensure they are submitted in a timely manner.

· Ensure that equipment operators, scaffolds, scaffold inspectors, fire fighters, first aiders etc. are certified on an ongoing basis in accordance with local regulatory requirements.

· Conduct safety induction for new workers, contractors, visitors as well as safety awareness programs from time to time and regular safety toolbox talks/meetings and enforce EHS procedures/policies and practices through facilitation of incident reporting and investigation, raising non-conformance reports, violations etc.

· Monitor and provide regular, reliable data for monitoring EHS performance.

· Ensure that EHS requirements are widely and consistently understood and implemented.

· Prepare EHS inspection reports and submit the reports within agreed period after the inspections are completed for the review of management.

· Ensure that relevant EHS information’s such as signs, policies, procedures, EHS alerts, emergency evacuation layouts, emergency contact information, EHS statistics board etc. are available at appropriate locations and updated in an ongoing basis.

· Conduct visits to labor accommodations to assess compliance with HSE policies and procedures and report any non-compliance or concerns to management.

Ensure compliance to all relevant QHSE procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, health, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

· As applicable, achieve IMS objectives through strategic and operational planning, effective management, and periodic reviews. Direct and guide teams/employees in completing tasks and attaining goals, including preparing action plans, conducting audits, and resolving operational issues. “IMS objectives refer to those defined in the IMS Manual and goals established by Top Management, in line with IMS standards and requirements (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001)”.

Must be Nebosh Certified + IOSH-Managing Safely

With minimum 4 years GCC experience

Willing to relocate to AbuDhabi

Pay: From AED6,500.00 per month
