â˘Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of work areas, machinery, and practices.
â˘Identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend preventive measures.
â˘Ensure availability and proper use of PPE and safety gear across the facility.
â˘Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and follow up on corrective actions.
đ Training & Awareness
â˘Conduct safety inductions for new employees and contractors.
â˘Organize periodic safety training and toolbox talks for staff.
â˘Promote awareness of fire safety, first aid, chemical handling, and emergency procedures.
đ Compliance & Documentation
â˘Maintain HSE records, including inspection reports, MSDS, incident logs, and permits.
â˘Ensure compliance with local environmental, occupational health, and safety laws.
â˘Support implementation of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, or other HSE standards if applicable.
âťď¸ Environmental Protection
â˘Monitor waste disposal, emissions, noise, and other environmental impacts.
â˘Ensure safe storage and handling of hazardous materials (chemicals, fuels, etc.).
â˘Promote sustainability and energy conservation practices.
đ¨ Emergency Preparedness
â˘Develop and regularly test emergency response plans (fire drills, evacuation procedures, etc.).
â˘Coordinate with external agencies for fire safety and medical support when needed.
â˘Maintain firefighting and first aid equipment in working condition.
đ¤ Coordination & Reporting
â˘Work closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure integrated safety practices.
â˘Report unsafe conditions and support the implementation of engineering or administrative controls.
â˘Prepare monthly HSE reports and present findings to management.
đ Qualifications & Requirements:
â˘Diploma or Bachelorâs degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
â˘2â5 years of HSE experience, preferably in a foundry, manufacturing, or heavy industry.
â˘Knowledge of national HSE laws and standards.
â˘HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent preferred.
â˘Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 implementation.
â˘Strong observation, communication, and reporting skills.
â˘First Aid and Fire Safety training certification is a plus.
