Summary
The Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer for Infrastructure/Roads/Marine will be responsible for implementing and maintaining HSE protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of personnel and compliance with regulations in the infrastructure, roads, and marine sectors.
Job Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and enforce HSE policies and procedures specific to infrastructure, roads, and marine projects.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Provide HSE training to employees and contractors involved in infrastructure, roads, and marine projects.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with local HSE regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to address any HSE concerns and issues.
- Maintain records of HSE incidents, near misses, and safety performance indicators.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Proven work experience as an HSE Officer in the infrastructure, roads, or marine sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and standards relevant to infrastructure, roads, and marine projects.
- Strong analytical skills to identify risks and develop safety solutions.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Certification in NEBOSH or equivalent is a plus.
