HSE Officer - (High-Rise Construction)

Role Purpose:

Responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures at high-rise tower project sites to ensure compliance with local regulations, company standards, and international HSE best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

HSE Compliance & Implementation:

• Ensure adherence to company HSE policy, procedures, and legal requirements at the tower construction site.
• Monitor site activities and proactively identify potential hazards.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and ensure compliance with method statements and risk assessments.

Training & Awareness:

• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and HSE training for workers and subcontractors.
• Promote a positive safety culture and encourage reporting of near misses and unsafe conditions.

Incident Reporting & Investigation:

• Record and report accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Participate in root cause analysis and assist in implementing corrective actions.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain updated HSE logs, inspection records, permits, and statutory documentation.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports for submission to management and consultants.

Coordination & Liaison:

• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors for implementing safe work practices.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and authorities during safety inspections and audits.

Emergency Preparedness:

• Ensure fire-fighting equipment, first-aid facilities, and emergency evacuation plans are in place.
• Conduct periodic emergency drills and evaluate effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Diploma/Degree in Engineering or Occupational Health & Safety.
• Certification: NEBOSH IGC (or equivalent), OSHA, First Aid & Fire Fighting Training.
• Experience: 3–5 years of HSE experience in high-rise tower construction projects in UAE/GCC.
• Knowledge:
• Familiarity with UAE safety regulations, local authority requirements, and international safety standards (OSHA/ISO 45001).
• Understanding of scaffolding safety, work-at-height safety, lifting operations, and tower crane safety.
