HSE Officer (Part-Time)

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Part-Time HSE Officer to support the implementation and monitoring of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance across our construction and contracting projects.

The successful candidate will conduct periodic site inspections, monitor compliance with safety regulations, provide HSE guidance to project teams, and assist in maintaining a safe working environment in accordance with UAE regulations, client requirements, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities1. Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance

  • Conduct site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
  • Monitor implementation of HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Recommend corrective and preventive actions for identified safety concerns.

2. Risk Assessment & Hazard Management

  • Assist in conducting risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and hazard identification activities.
  • Monitor implementation of risk control measures and corrective actions.
  • Maintain records of hazards, observations, and safety findings.

3. Training & Safety Awareness

  • Conduct or support safety inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE awareness programs.
  • Promote safe work practices and a positive safety culture across project sites.

4. Incident Investigation & Reporting

  • Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
  • Prepare incident reports and follow up on corrective actions.

5. Documentation & Compliance Monitoring

  • Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, permits, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist in preparing HSE reports and support audits and inspections.

6. Emergency Preparedness & Site Safety

  • Support emergency preparedness activities and drills.
  • Ensure availability of PPE, safety equipment, and proper site housekeeping.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Valid NEBOSH Certificate (Attested) is mandatory.
  • Valid UAE Educational Certificate Equivalency is mandatory.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of HSE experience in construction or contracting companies within the UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, construction safety requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Experience conducting site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and HSE reporting.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and provide professional HSE support on a part-time basis.
