HSE OFFICERS

Job Title: HSE Officer

Department: Health, Safety & Environment
Reports To: HSE Engineer / HSE Manager

Job Purpose:

To assist in implementing and maintaining health, safety, and environmental standards at the worksite, ensuring safe working practices and compliance with HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
• Conduct safety inspections, report unsafe acts/conditions, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Participate in incident and near-miss investigations and maintain related records.
• Deliver daily toolbox talks and safety inductions to workers and subcontractors.
• Assist in the preparation and review of risk assessments and method statements.
• Ensure all personnel wear proper PPE and follow safety rules.
• Support emergency preparedness and conduct mock drills.
• Maintain HSE documentation and inspection logs.
• Promote safety awareness and a positive HSE culture across the site.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in HSE within construction or industrial sectors.
• NEBOSH IGC / OSHA / IOSH certification preferred.
• Knowledge of local safety regulations and international HSE standards.
• Good observation, communication, and reporting skills.
