Job Title: HSE Section Head

Sector/Business Line: Elsewedy Electric T&D.

Scope: transmission & distribution.

Department: QHSE

Job Location: Head Office.

Accountabilities:

• Allocate necessary HSE resources into running sites to support the HSE programs implementation.
• Continually maintain an appropriate level of awareness, knowledge and preparedness across T&D to create a culture that prioritizes effective HSE and balances overall associated costs.
• Review internal HSE policies and practices to ensure they are current and appropriate; conduct hazard and risk assessments and change existing, or develop new recommendations from these assessments.
• Ensure HSE plan and risk assessment are established and maintained for each site.
• Serve as T&D expert within the field of HSE when called upon to address regulatory agency compliance issues, third party safety & liability consultants and subcontractor representatives.
• Provide periodic monthly and quarterly reports, as well as HSE-related results and updates to the HSE manager.
• Assist project team in investigation of all project incidents and ensure proper records are completed and submitted including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Assist in the implementation of corrective actions as it relates to any incident and ensure “lessons learned” are communicated throughout the all concerned entities.
• Actively participate in the scheduling of safety meetings across Company locations to review HSE performance and policies
• Support in daily basis HSE site team solving any HSE issue required as project needs.
• Pertinent safety/regulatory compliance matters and to ensure project sites are in compliance.
• Conduct regular site visits/audits to assess the HSE performance in addition to evaluate and give necessary coaching to HSE site team.

Education Background:

• BSC Engineering
• Required the below essential certificates: -

1. OSHA
2. Risk Assessment
3. First aid
4. Fire fighting
5. lifting
6. NEBOSH
7. ISO 45001 (preferred)
8. ISO14001 (preferred)

• Years of Experience: 10 to 13 years of experience.
