Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices on civil construction sites
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments for activities such as excavation, concreting, formwork, and lifting operations
- Identify hazards and ensure immediate corrective and preventive actions are implemented
- Monitor compliance with permit-to-work systems and ensure proper use of PPE at all times
- Lead incident and accident investigations, prepare reports, and follow up on corrective measures
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and training sessions for workers and subcontractors
- Review and support preparation of method statements, risk assessments, and lifting plans
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and contractors to maintain a safe working environment
- Ensure safety compliance for heavy equipment, scaffolding, and temporary structures
- Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and safety performance data
- Participate in safety meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in HSE roles within civil construction projects
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA certification (required or preferred)
- Strong knowledge of civil construction safety practices and regulations
- Experience in high-rise, infrastructure, or villa projects is an advantage
- Good understanding of risk assessments, permit systems, and incident investigation
- Strong leadership, communication, and reporting skills
- Ability to enforce safety compliance and promote a strong safety culture on site
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, site-based environment.
