HSE / Transport Officer with School Experience

International Community Schools is seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE / Transport Officer to oversee the school’s Health, Safety & Environment practices and manage student transportation across our branches in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, promote a safe learning environment, and coordinate all aspects of school transportation effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and best practices across the school premises.
  

• Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments, and safety drills to ensure a safe school environment.
  

• Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi Department of Education & Knowledge (ADEK), Civil Defense, and other local regulatory requirements.
  

• Provide training and awareness sessions for staff and students on safety, health, and emergency protocols.
  

• Manage and coordinate daily school transport operations, including student pick-up/drop-off and route planning.
  

• Ensure compliance with transport safety standards, vehicle maintenance, and driver performance monitoring.
  

• Maintain accurate HSE and transport records, reports, and documentation.
  

• Collaborate with school leadership and administrative teams to address safety and transport-related concerns promptly.
  

  
  
  
  

Requirements


Job Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in HSE and Transport Management within a school setting .
  

• Strong knowledge of UAE school safety regulations, transport compliance, and best practices.
  

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred).
  

• Relevant HSE certification (NEBOSH / IOSH or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
  

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  

• Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies effectively.
