HSEQ Officer

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Implement and monitor the company’s Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures across operational sites.Executes site HSE/HSEQ program, inspections, incident reporting, chemical safety controls, toolbox talks, and compliance monitoring.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and international management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
• Monitor employee adherence to safety procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and operational safety guidelines.
• Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct safety induction and awareness training for employees and site personnel.
• Support the development and implementation of risk control measures and safe work procedures.
• Maintain HSEQ documentation, records, reports, and compliance registers.
• Assist in internal and external HSEQ audits and inspections.
• Promote safety awareness and encourage proactive reporting of hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Coordinate with operational teams to ensure safe execution of daily work activities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to health, safety, environmental protection, and service quality.

QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in HSE/HSEQ roles, preferably within facilities management, construction, or related industries.
• Certified in NEBOSH International General Certificate.
• NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) IGC; First aid (preferred); Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with operational teams.
