HTML5 Game Developer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior HTML5 Game Developer who is passionate about building high-quality, engaging browser-based games. You will lead the development of interactive HTML5 games, guide junior developers, and work closely with design, art, and product teams to bring game concepts to life.

This role is ideal for someone who understands both the technical architecture and creative aspects of game development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of 2D HTML5 games for web and mobile browsers
• Architect scalable and maintainable game code using JavaScript and HTML5 technologies
• Work extensively with Phaser.js or similar HTML5 game engines
• Design and implement core game mechanics, physics, animations, UI, and sound systems
• Optimize game performance across devices, screen sizes, and browsers
• Identify and fix performance bottlenecks, bugs, and gameplay issues
• Collaborate with designers, artists, and product managers to translate concepts into playable games
• Mentor and support junior developers and interns
• Contribute to game design discussions and technical decision-making

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in HTML5 game development
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3
• Hands-on experience with Phaser.js or other HTML5 game frameworks
• Solid understanding of game loops, rendering cycles, sprites, collisions, and animations
• Experience implementing responsive UI and cross-browser compatibility
• Good knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns
• Experience with performance optimization for mobile browsers
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Passion for games and a deep understanding of gameplay mechanics

Good to Have (Bonus Skills)

• Experience with Canvas, WebGL, or Three.js
• Knowledge of physics engines used in games
• Experience integrating APIs, leaderboards, analytics, or ad SDKs in games
• Understanding of monetization models in web/mobile games
• Prior experience leading small teams or mentoring developers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
