TITLE

HUB Associate

JOB SUMMARY

Work involves developing relationships with HUB suppliers; conducting industry and market research to identify diverse supplier resources; and disseminating contracting information and opportunities to the HUB supplier community. Work also involves providing outreach and training in support of continuous program growth. Work is performed under general supervision and performance evaluation is based upon completion of assignments and results obtained. The performance evaluation is conducted through the performance evaluation system and in accordance with the University Policies & Procedures.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to: Chief Procurement Officer/HUB Coordinator

Supervises: No supervisory responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES - May include, but not limited to the following:

  • Receives and processes documents in support of HUB program activities including requests to evaluate contracting opportunities for subcontracting probability, HUB Subcontracting Plans (HSPs), Progress Assessment Reports (PARs) and other related documents.

  • Works in partnership with Procurement Services and other professionals across the University to engage in strategic sourcing in regard to HUB concerns. Ensures dissemination of solicitation and contracting opportunity information to HUB suppliers.

  • Monitors, creates, and distributes HUB departmental reports for the purpose of analyzing HUB utilization data.

  • Coordinates HUB supplier showcases to introduce HUB suppliers, and the products and services they provide, to faculty and staff.

  • Coordinates online HUB supplier registration for those suppliers who are interested in doing business with TWU and conducts review of supplier information with Procurement Services for future solicitation information.

  • Coordinates outreach efforts for HUB participation.

  • Represents TWU by attending State HUB events to improve supplier relations.

  • Recommends, coordinates, and implements changes to the HUB program.

  • Assists HUB suppliers with the State HUB Certification process, application to the Centralized Master Bidders List (CMBL) and informs HUB suppliers about the TWU procurement process.

  • Trains University staff and faculty on all HUB initiatives and requirements. Works closely with administration and Procurement Services to ensure campus wide participation.

  • Promotes positive HUB supplier relationships and manages HUB relationships through frequent contacts both on and off campus.

  • Performs other duties as requested.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in related field required; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

EXPERIENCE

Two years of related experience required; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Experience working with a State of Texas agency preferred.

REQUIREMENT

Regular and reliable attendance at the University during regular scheduled days and work hours is an essential function of this position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
