Human Resource Assistant

Description:

The YMCA of Broome County is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resource Assistant to support our HR department in various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will assist in the recruitment process, employee onboarding, and maintaining employee records while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews
  • Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing orientation materials and conducting new hire orientation
  • Maintain and update employee records in the HR database, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives as needed

Pay:

$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

Flexible 15 hours per week during daytime business hours

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in an HR role or administrative position
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks
