Job Description
Reports to: Chief Operation Officer
Classification: Exempt
Department/Site: Administration
Major Functions:
The Human Resources Director will manage HR operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting,
The HR director promotes and implements human resource values by planning and managing human resources programs and directing staff training, counseling, and discipling staff. The human resources director will also take the lead in developing organization strategies by identifying and searching human resources issues.
Essential Functions:
➢ Support management by providing human resources direction, advice, and counsel.
➢ Ability to coach and mentor team members through the process of understanding the needs and responsibilities of human resources within the health center.
➢ Understanding of cultural norms, traditions and working with diverse teams.
➢ Guides management and employee actions by developing HR guidelines, communicating the guidelines and enforcing organizations values.
➢ Leads health centers compliance with all exiting governmental and labor legal requirements including any related to the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), the
American With Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the
Department of Labor, workers compensation, the Occupational Safety and Health
Administration (OSHA).
➢ Establishes and maintains Health Center records and reports; able to direct others in the organization and adherence to record keeping guidelines.
➢ Performs other work-related duties as necessary.
Relationships: Directly responsible to the Chief Operation Officer, with frequent or continuous contact with Chief Medical Officer, Chief Program Officer, Chief Executive
Officer, requesting organizational elements, department heads, receiving parties and vendors.
Education/Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree required or other related fields. Masters of Science Degree preferred.
SHRM Certified or Eligible.
