You’ll be an integral part of McKinstry with hands-on experience, mentorship and a healthy dose of fun. We are looking for an HR Operations Intern to join our growing People team in Seattle, WA. As an HR Operations intern, you will be joining a team that is focused on creating a PeopleFirst employee experience while being operationally excellent.

What we look for in an HR Operations Intern:

• Pursuing or having a degree in Human Resources, Communications, or Business preferred.
• Availability in Summer 2026 (May/June start until August/September depending on school); part-time availability after Summer preferred!
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be detail-oriented, well organized, and possess excellent follow-up skills.
• Must be self–motivated, able to multi‐task, and work independently.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

What an HR Operations Intern is responsible for:

• Process pre-employment, new hire data entry, and other employee transactions in HRIS system.
• Maintain and update HR records including employee files, HRIS system records, and more.
• Support compliance efforts such as I9 compliance and labor law poster compliance.
• Provide general HR Service to employees in person and via email.
• Provide general administrative support for the HR Operations team.
• Support various project efforts. Other duties as assigned.

The hourly rate for this role is $22/hr.
