Job Summary - Why you’ll love this position

The Family Support Division is seeking applications for the position of Human Resources Specialist. This position is based in Cole County and is located at 615 Howerton Court, Jefferson City, MO.

Responsibilities - What you’ll do

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Administration of performance evaluation, employee engagement, discipline writing, consulting with managers and supervisors regarding employee relation concerns and preparing formal correspondence including but not limited to discipline, option letters, essential function letters, attendance expectation memos.
  • Work with Divisional management on requests for specialized Human Resources training and statewide initiatives. Oversee higher level; executive special projects requested from the Director’s Office that pertain to HR policies, programs, and procedures, as well as overall DSS Policy, work on training reports, reminders to employees, etc.
  • Review onboarding and exit surveys for analysis and follow up as needed.
  • Divisional Engage liaison and coordinator for any tracking, updates and questions related to Engage and Reflect meetings.
  • Worker’s compensation coordinator for FSD.
  • Long Term Disability (LTD) coordination – in conjunction with ADA/FMLA, help employees through the LTD process.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications - All you need for success

Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)

Individual(s) selected for this position may receive a higher rate based on a pay differential (e.g. shift, or time-of-service pay).
