Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Human Resources Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role will be pivotal in managing various HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will possess a strong organizational skills and a firm understanding of human capital management and employment laws, ensuring compliance while fostering a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
- Provides support and recommendations to the leadership team members when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise. May be involved execute in delicate circumstances such as requests for reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and executing the offboarding process.
- Enforces company policies and practices while also focusing on employee relations as well as maintaining and growing a positive company culture.
- Manages the talent acquisition pre and post processes, which may include various recruitment, onboarding and training activities.
- Assists with coordinating and developing learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees and meets annual learning requirements.
- Assists with employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance; ensures all employee files comply with state, federal and payer source requirements.
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.

- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations systems (e.g., Microsoft Office, OneDrive, Central Reach, Google Workspace, Amplify, Gusto, DocuSign, etc.).
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required*. (*may be substituted with years of experience and/or HR certification).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with employees at all levels.
- Strong knowledge of employment & labor law, OSHA regulations, and workers' compensation procedures.
- Proficiency in HR sourcing techniques, project management, and data collection methodologies.
- Familiarity with various HR software platforms including Amplify and Gusto as well as basic systems such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Experience with Central Reach preferred but not required.
- A minimum of three years of human resource management experience preferred.
- Seven to ten years of prior work experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
