Position Summary:
We are looking for an organized, motivated, Human Resources Director to provide HR leadership and guidance for our group of skilled nursing facilities.
The Human Resources Director is a key contributor to the strategic and operational components of the organization. This position is responsible for the development of Human Resources policies and programs for the organization, for making recommendations to the Senior Management Team and for the implementation of all approved recommendations. This position will provide overall direction and guidance to Human Resources Personnel in multiple facilities. This position is responsible for ensuring that the Human Resources Department is in compliance with all policies and regulations or reviewing agencies and the Federal Laws, i.e. ADA, EEO, Family Medical Leave Act, and the Federal Discrimination laws.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Leads and manages all activities of the human resources department in all HR areas such as but not limited to: Disciplinary Review, Incident Investigations, Recruitment and Retention, Payroll, Benefits, Workers Compensation/OSHA, Leaves and Required Federal and State reporting.
Develops and/or updates appropriate policies and programs for effective management of the employees of the organization. Included in this area would be programs for employee relations, affirmative action, sexual harassment and employee grievances.
Keeps current with regulation changes and ensures company adheres to applicable federal, state and local employment laws.
Works directly with department heads and HR staff to assist in fulfilling their responsibilities related to employee matters.
Creates and performs HR related training.
Establishes and implements short- and long-term range organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, polices and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates programmatic and operational effectives, and effects changes required for improvements.
Assists senior management in annual review, preparation and administration of the organizations wage and salary program.
Administers job classification program, which includes classifying and reclassifying positions and writing job descriptions in collaboration with Department Heads.

Travel:
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Required Experience:
Two years experience working in long-term care.
Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of personnel related laws
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to establish priorities and work independently
Superior written and spoken communication skills in English
Experience:
Supervision: 2 years (Preferred)
Human Resources: 2 years (Preferred)
Skilled Nursing Facility experience (Preferred)
