Human Resources Administrator – Payroll & Benefits Focus
The Human Resources Administrator will play a key role in supporting all HR operations with a strong emphasis on payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee support. This position is critical to ensuring accurate and timely pay, maintaining compliance, and delivering exceptional service to a workforce of more than 500 employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with processing bi-weekly payroll for 500+ employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and company policies. (eventually being able to process payroll on your own)
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, 401(k), leave management, and open enrollment activities.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee payroll and benefits inquiries, providing clear and timely guidance.
- Maintain and update employee records, HRIS data, and confidential documentation with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate employee events and activities.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring proper payroll and benefits setup/termination.
- Support audits, reporting requirements, and compliance-related tasks as needed.
- Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and Operations teams to support daily administrative needs and ongoing HR initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in payroll processing and benefits administration within a high-volume environment preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage competing priorities for a large workforce.
- Proven ability to take initiative, work independently, and operate as a self-starter—critical for success in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to support and engage with employees at all levels.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, payroll software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
