Human Resources Administrator – Payroll & Benefits Focus

The Human Resources Administrator will play a key role in supporting all HR operations with a strong emphasis on payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee support. This position is critical to ensuring accurate and timely pay, maintaining compliance, and delivering exceptional service to a workforce of more than 500 employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with processing bi-weekly payroll for 500+ employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and company policies. (eventually being able to process payroll on your own)
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, 401(k), leave management, and open enrollment activities.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee payroll and benefits inquiries, providing clear and timely guidance.
  • Maintain and update employee records, HRIS data, and confidential documentation with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate employee events and activities.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring proper payroll and benefits setup/termination.
  • Support audits, reporting requirements, and compliance-related tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and Operations teams to support daily administrative needs and ongoing HR initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience in payroll processing and benefits administration within a high-volume environment preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage competing priorities for a large workforce.
  • Proven ability to take initiative, work independently, and operate as a self-starter—critical for success in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to support and engage with employees at all levels.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, payroll software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
