Responsibilities
- Coordinate full‑cycle talent acquisition activities for a regulated cannabis organization, including job postings, candidate sourcing through ATS platforms (e.g., Kronos), applicant screening, interview scheduling, and compliant candidate communications.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including offer documentation, pre‑employment requirements, background checks, Form I‑9 employment eligibility verification, and new‑hire orientation for regulated positions.
- Prepare and process new‑hire paperwork, ensuring completion and retention of all employment documentation in compliance with Massachusetts personnel records law and cannabis regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate onboarding logistics, including system access, designated log‑ins, workstation setup, company email creation, and facilitation of required badging or licensure support where applicable.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for routine HR inquiries from employees and managers, providing timely, accurate, confidential guidance consistent with company policy and Massachusetts labor laws.
- Maintain accurate, confidential employee personnel files in compliance with Massachusetts General Laws, recordkeeping expectations, and company standards, ensuring audit readiness at all times.
- Maintain required compliance documentation and postings, including personnel records, Massachusetts Earned Sick Time tracking, leave of absence documentation, and other statutory leave programs relevant to a regulated workforce.
- Support benefits administration by assisting with employee enrollments, changes, life events, and employee inquiries in accordance with company policies, carrier requirements, and applicable Massachusetts and federal laws.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant HR experience in a regulated environment.
- 1–3 years of experience in an HR administrative or support role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong initiative and accountability, follow-up, and ability to follow through on responsibilities.
- Detail-oriented, excellent organization and time management skills.
- Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive employee, compliance, and operational information in a regulated cannabis environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees, managers, compliance teams, and external vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to evolving regulations, policies, and operational requirements common to the cannabis industry.
- Must be willing and able to occasionally work a flexible schedule as the business needs demand.

Working Conditions
