Human Resources Administrator

The Goodman Group is a McDonald’s Franchise and we have an immediate opening for Human Resources Administrator to join our team at our corporate office in Melville, NY. The HR Administrator is a dynamic position with a strong focus on HR administration and payroll systems. Responsible for providing HR administrative support to our restaurants and employees. The ideal candidate is customer service focused, has a passion for HR and desire to work in a fast-paced, team environment where they can learn and grow. Must be detail orientated, proactive, a fast learner and think outside of the box.

General Duties (including but not limited to):

  • Process payroll weekly for multiple restaurants
  • Review and process electronic onboarding for new hires
  • Assist store managers and employees with questions regarding payroll or HR
  • Oversee employee injuries and Workers Comp claims
  • Oversee leaves of absence. Check eligibility and process paperwork for Disability, FMLA, and PFL
  • Answer employment verifications and create employment letters for employees
  • Work with payroll provider to process garnishments
  • Keep up to date on new laws and regulations
  • Utilize technology to automate job function/streamline HR process

Requirements

  • Bilingual — English & Spanish (mandatory)
  • 1+ years HR experience
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, etc.)
  • Detail oriented
  • Need to be able to take initiative

Preferred

  • NYC / Long Island Fair Work Week familiarity
  • NY State employment law
  • Experience with PFL, FMLA and disability
  • Experience with Workers' Comp
  • Paylocity experience
  • Harri or similar WFM platform

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
